Welcome to the Travellers Rest at the Plough Wissett

Our brand-new Luxury Self Catering Holiday Caravans have Central Heating, Double Glazing and fully equipped with Free-View T.V, Fridge Freezer, Microwave, and Gas hob and oven. They also have free Wi-Fi.

They sleep 4/6 comfortably with spacious double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and dressing table, the twin bedroom also has a fitted wardrobe.

The caravans have large luxury bathrooms consisting of a spacious shower cubicle, vanity unit with sink and toilet.

All bed linen is provided and towels, there is also a welcome hamper provided on your arrival with the essentials to see you through.

All caravans have their own lockable shed for storing bikes, fishing equipment etc.

The location of the caravans is set in a beautiful village close to the Suffolk coastline, offering lovely walks and picturesque scenery. There are lots of local attractions in the surrounding towns and villages offering fishing, shooting, and golf.

Well behaved Dogs are welcome in one of the caravans.

The Luxury Self-Catering Caravan Park

If you are looking for a unique relaxing place to stay, then the Travellers Rest is for you. Each plot has a tar and chipped driveway with landscaped hedging, a lockable shed, parking for 2 large vehicles, free Wi-Fi and sun decked veranda to enjoy the stunning Valley Views. The gardens are maintained to a very high standard throughout the year. L.E.D lighting ensures the caravans and decking area is well lit at night. Each plot has full privacy too.

The Pub Is Now Fully Open

The Wissett Plough Pub is a traditional country village Free House, it was recently fully re-furbished to a very high spec. The plough offers a wide range of Real Ales, Beers, Wines and Spirits including a fantastic Gin Bar. Excellent food and a very warm welcome. Caravan residents will also receive special offers and rates in the pub. There is also the Annual Wissett Beer Festival to look forward too.

The Local Area

The delights of the heritage coastline and its stunning destinations of Southwold and Aldeburgh are a short drive away. Just a few miles down the road is the Market town of Halesworth with its vast array of shops Restaurants and pubs. The village of Wissett has beautiful walks on offer along with its own Vine Yard which offers tours and wine tasting. There also fishing lakes in the village too offering trout or course fishing.

On offer to the residents of the caravans is a traditional horse drawn carriage trip around the local area with a few stops at the local pubs on the way. (Booking is essential and is also weather permitting.)
